ProClause is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

1Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide, such as your name and profile photo.
We collect the contract information you enter into the app, including club names, wage details, bonus clauses, contract dates, and any custom notes.
We collect performance statistics you log, including match results, goals, assists, appearances, minutes played, and related data.
If you upload a profile photo, that image is stored securely on our servers.
We collect your subscription status, including whether you hold a free or Pro plan and the billing period associated with your subscription.
We may collect basic usage and diagnostic data to help us improve the app, such as crash reports and feature usage patterns. This data does not identify you personally.

2How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the ProClause app and its features, including contract tracking, earnings calculations, performance monitoring, and alerts.
To manage your account, authenticate your identity, and maintain your session.
To process and manage your subscription and provide access to Pro features.
To send you important account-related communications, such as password reset emails or subscription confirmations.
To improve the app's performance, reliability, and features based on aggregated, anonymised usage data.
We do not use your personal data for advertising purposes.

3Cookies and Tracking Technologies

ProClause uses cookies and similar storage technologies for essential functionality (such as keeping you signed in) and, with your permission, for analytics and advertising measurement.
When you first visit ProClause you are shown a consent banner. Optional analytics and marketing categories are off by default until you enable them. You can Accept all, Reject non-essential, or choose categories individually, and you can change your decision at any time via 'Cookie Settings' in the website footer or on our Cookie Policy page.
Strictly necessary technologies (authentication, security, subscription processing) are always active and do not require consent. Subscription checkout is handled by Stripe on its own domain, where Stripe sets its own cookies under Stripe's privacy policy.
Analytics (optional) covers our built-in, first-party product analytics and conversion-funnel measurement. It only operates if you enable the Analytics category.
Marketing & Advertising (optional): ProClause advertises on Meta platforms. No Meta Pixel or other marketing cookie is placed on your device unless and until you enable the Marketing category. Disabling it prevents marketing tracking from loading; it does not affect the advertising campaigns themselves.

4Apple In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

ProClause offers a Pro subscription available via Apple In-App Purchase and web checkout (powered by Stripe).
When you purchase through the App Store, Apple processes the payment. ProClause does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment information.
Your subscription status is shared with ProClause by Apple to enable access to Pro features. This includes your subscription tier and renewal status.
To manage or cancel your App Store subscription, go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ProClause.
For web-based purchases via Stripe, Stripe processes your payment securely. ProClause does not store card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.

5Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers provided by our infrastructure partner. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
Access to your account data is protected by your login credentials. We recommend using a strong, unique password.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed in accordance with the Account Deletion section below.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6Data Sharing

ProClause does not sell your personal data to any third party.
We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
We may share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the app, such as cloud hosting and payment processing. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ProClause, our users, or others.

7Account Deletion and Data Removal

You can delete your account at any time from within the app by going to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
Deleting your account will permanently remove all your personal data, contract information, performance statistics, and any uploaded files from our systems.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, you should cancel it separately via the App Store or your payment provider before deleting your account.
If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you may contact us at support@proclause.app and we will process the deletion manually within 30 days.

8Your Privacy Rights

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Union, you have rights under UK GDPR and EU GDPR respectively, including: the right to access your personal data, the right to correct inaccurate data, the right to request deletion of your data, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@proclause.app. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. In the EU, contact your local data protection authority.
ProClause acts as the data controller for the personal data you provide. Our legal basis for processing your data is the performance of our contract with you (to provide the app), your consent where applicable, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service.

9Children's Privacy

ProClause is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@proclause.app and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements.
When we make material changes, we will update the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-app notice.
Your continued use of ProClause after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
